Nazita Lajevardi

J.D., Ph.D.

Welcome! I am a political scientist and attorney working on issues related to race and ethnic politics, political behavior, voting rights,  and immigration. As of January 2018, I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Michigan State University.

I received my Ph.D. from UCSD in 2017, my law degree in 2012 from the University of San Francisco School of Law and my Bachelor's degree in 2009 from UCLA. In 2017, I lived in Sweden where I worked as a postdoctoral fellow on the CONPOL Project at Uppsala University. My research there focused on civic skills, participation, and integration.
