Welcome!

I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at Michigan State University working on issues related to public opinion and political behavior through the lens of religious and racial identity.

Prior to joining Michigan State, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Government at Uppsala University, where I still continue to work actively with several colleagues. In AY 2021-2022, I was the Winant Professor at the Rothermere American Institute at the University of Oxford.

My research has been published in academic venues, including American Political Science Review, The Journal of Politics, Political Psychology, Political Behavior, Cambridge University Press, and more. My work also been featured in numerous media outlets as well, and has been supported by funders including: The Swedish Research Council (VR), Facebook, National Science Foundation, Formas, the Social Science Research Council, and the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard.
